Corten Reflections

Set among a tranquil olive grove in Paso Robles, this project by AAA Landscaping blends artistry, craftsmanship, and the natural beauty of the Central Coast landscape. The design features custom Corten steel pathways, steps, and a wind block, giving the space a modern architectural edge with the warm, weathered tones that only Corten can provide.

At the heart of the design are handmade art spheres, each piece thoughtfully placed to create visual rhythm and sculptural interest throughout the garden. Native and succulent plantings weave between these elements, offering year-round texture and color with minimal maintenance—perfectly suited to the Paso Robles climate.

The ground plane is tied together with decomposed granite pathways sourced from Air-Vol Block, providing a soft, natural transition underfoot. The space glows at dusk with FX Luminaire pathway lighting, elegantly highlighting the art features, planting pockets, and the warm patina of the steel.

Framing the poolside retreat, dry stack moss boulders from Central Coast Landscape Products lend rustic character and contrast beautifully with the modern steel detailing. Nearby, an outdoor kitchen and entertainment area complete this inviting sanctuary—a seamless fusion of art, function, and the timeless charm of wine country living.
